Hi,
I would like to use this database: http://www.lcafood.dk/
In the "download" section I can see that it can be imported in simaPro, but I would like to import it in openLCA. Is it possible?
I need it for my thesis, so it is very important to me!
Could you help me?
Thanks!

Re: Import lcafood database
Hi,
Even though this is a old post, I was wondering the exact same thing. Is anyone able to tell me if there is a way to import the danish lcafood database in openLCA?
Thanks in advance
Valeria

Re: Import lcafood database
Hi Valeria,
the database is a bit old and contains some things that should be modified before it is put into the nexus system for openLCA (Danish names, "test" folders, folder duplications (a Danish and an English version), and obviously a flow mapping to the openLCA LCIA methods would be needed. But it seems to run nicely in openLCA, I just imported into SimaPro and exported into openLCA. Therefore I am attaching it here FYI , as zolca openLCA database: http://openlca.org/c/document_library/g ... upId=29861. Feedback is welcome!
Best wishes,
Andreas
- if someone would volunteer to perform the refactoring of the database so that we could include it in nexus, that would be great. Please contact me if you are interested, your help will be acknowledged.

Re: Import lcafood database
Hi Andreas,
how are you?
I'm about to run a Carbon Footprint studt for professional purpose and I've just found this old post of yours with LCA FOOD converted into zolca files.
I think this is very useful, but I would need some further explanation.
Can I use this converted database with openLCA impact assessment method?
Is it possible to import single processes in ecoinvent and link them with ecoinvent processes? (I hope so! but I'm afraid it isn't...)
Please Andreas, could you tell me if these operations are possible and if I can ask GreenDelta an estimate of the costs for these?
Thanks in advance,
best regards
sara

Re: Import lcafood database
Hello all,
I recently downloaded openLCA so please forgive my ignorance, but I am having some difficulty finding a database that would be useful for conducting a life cycle assessment comparing the benefits/disadvantages of composting, anaerobic digestion, and land filling when it comes to organic waste/ food waste. Does anyone have any suggestions for a useful place to start?
Thanks,
Andy

Re: Import lcafood database
Hi Andy,
You could probably best search in https://nexus.openlca.org/? The nexus site is quite complete but does not contain the LCAfood database as we found this is not too useful for all and not yet really consistent, you'll find a link to the LCAfood database for openLCA in a post where we made this also available in a status "as is".
Hth,
Andreas
