Help Concrete LCA

Post by Leonardo_Piazza » 05 Feb 2015 10:46

Hi, I am a new user of OPENLca. I’m an Italian engineer, I have carefully studied the tutorials and the software guides and now I’m trying to create a little bit complicated LCA.
For educational purposes I would like to model an LCA of structural lightweight concrete. I use ELCD Database and ecoinvent_3 methods. This database is lacking of basic materials like the expanded clay. How can I solve this problem? Can I create a process for modelling the expanded clay and after use this process in concrete modelling ?
Thanks.

Hi Leonardo,
thank you - maybe it makes sense if I connect you to our Italian partner for openLCA, http://www.be-lca.com/? They also offer e.g. dedicated trainings but are also otherwise really helpful (I think I can say that).
Best wishes,
Andreas
