Substitution approach yields wrong conclusions maybe?

Dear all,

I am worried that the substitution approach might yield wrong conclusions about the benefit of using recycled material if the reprocessing step has higher impacts than the processing step. You will find a brief pictured explanation at http://energy.m21.cc/files/Recycling.pdf

It is possible that I've made a simple mistake, since I am by far not an expert in LCA.

A feedback would be very much appreciated
