Monte Carlo Analysis

Hi,

I'm trying to learn about the Monte Carlo Analysis in OpenLCA. As an example I used the Ecoinvent process, "corn, at farm (US)" and I performed the Monte Carlo Simulation with the CML 2001 method and 1000 iterations.
I have some questions:

a) The mean values are slightly different from the "normal" results (in SimaPro they are the same numbers), for example for GWP100 the "normal" results is 0.43 kg-CO2 eq whereas for the simulation is 0.38. Is it normal? Is it due to a different calculation method?

b) I received negative values as mean for the land use competition and resources depletion of abiotic resources. How it can be?

Thank you for your reply.

Regards

Hi Salvatore,
You are right, this is indeed incorrect. We will fix this and upload a new version hopefully tomorrow.
Best,
Andreas

I'm having the same trouble with the resource categories-- they're all negative even with no recycling.
