Hello everybody.

My question is why all life cycle assessment studies don't evaluate entire life cycle of a product or process? I mean we see in literature some LCA studies just consider cradle to gate of a product. I want to know that what are the problems and restrictions which make researchers limit their LCA study to cradle to gate instead of cradle to grave?

Well this is permitted in ISO 14040, and in some cases, e.g. a product producer wants to make an LCA of one of his/her poducts, the "rest of the life cycle" even is not known.
