Uncertainty and MC Results

Post by mptsang » 15 Jun 2016 22:52

Hello,

Regarding the MC-results, I know that the results can be exported to Excel and that the uncertainty is shown per impact category and per elementary flow, however does openLCA allow for an uncertainty analysis per unit process (i.e. a global sensitivity analysis per certain unit processes of most interest, such as foreground processes)?

In a slightly related question, is there a way to run the MC-simulations such that only the uncertainty of foreground processes are taken into account (i.e. only uncertainty for the input/output values for the reference-flow of the functional unit)?

Best,

Michael

Hi Michael,
interesting questions, not yet (to both questions) - assuming that you are using ecoinvent with the uncertainty information provided. The latter question calls for a perturbation analysis (or similar), which would be interesting indeed.
If you see a possibility to implement this, or anyone else.. let us know!
Best
Andreas
