nrel data import

Post by Rebecca LeBlanc » 01 Aug 2013 17:46

Hi, Version 1.27, just downloaded latest set of nrel data. How does this data get imported into the dbschema that I created? When I click on "import", the file extension is .olca... Cannot get any further than this. Thanks for any and all help. Rebecca LeBlanc

Hi Rebecca,

right-click on the MySQL connector and select 'import database', then select the olca file. This is a complete database.

- I would recommend to switch to a newer version of openLCA ;)

Best wishes,
Andreas

Hmmm...that's what I'm trying to do, but, I don't have the .olca file!?!? So, I guess I downloaded the nrel dataset in the wrong directory? Yes, I'm a bit wary to upgrade as this version has been working pretty well!!! Thanks! Rebecca

Ah I see - sorry then I misunderstood. If you do not have the olca file, e.g. from a training, then you can import the NREL in an existing (empty or already populated) database in openLCA, as EcoSpold 1 files.
