incomplete Impact 2002+ (midpoint) methodology

Hi,

I would like to use the IMPACT2002+ methodology for LCIA, however I can only obtain "aquatic eutrophication" and "aquatic acidification" as midpoint categories, despite the IMPACT 2002+ contains at least 15 midpoint categories.
I guess that is because respiratory effects, photochemical oxidation, ionizing radiation, ozone layer depletion, terrestrial acidification/nutrification, land use occupation, and mineral extraction are obtained from Eco-indicator 99 and for climate change, the IPCC Global Warming Potentials (IPCC 2001).
I read somewere that one of the solution is two run all the three methodology but this is not very convenient. Moreover, the Eco-indicator method is given at a nomalization point and I would like to get result at midpoint, without normalization.

I would like to know if it exists somewere a complete .xml file of the Impact 2002+ methodology?
If not, how can I create this complete methdology? (I tried to modify the initial method, but it is too fastidious and I can't find how to copy the impact factor from other methodologies)

Thanks for your help!

The Impact 2002+ package is indeed incomplete if you import the ecoinvent 2.2 LCIA package. We'd be happy to share a file that is more complete, so if anybody would like to prepare this (or has it already, in a suitable format), please let us know!
Thanks in advance,
Andreas

Hi Andreas,

Please let me know what a suitable format is, and I can send along the information you would need.

Dear Pascal,

The only formats that are accepted by OPEN LCA to import a LCIA method are Ecospold format and ILCD format. Do you know where a version of Impact 2002+ (with all midpoints and endpoints in non-uniformized units) in one of these 2 formats could be available?
Any help from your side would be gladly received ;).
Best regards,

Aurélien

@Aurélien: well also zolca is accepted as import format, i.e. complete openLCA databases - we use this format for distrubuting LCIA methods to be able to "transport" normalisation and weighting factors.
Best wishes,
Andreas

Hello,
Has there been any progress regarding the availability of the IMPACT2002+ midpoint method as a downloadable EcoSpold or .zolca file?
The IMPACT2002+ method as imported from Nexus for EcoInvent 3.2 is still incomplete, with the only two above-mentioned mid-point indicators.

Best regards,
Romain

Hey Pascal,

Do you still have the Impact2002+ with all impact categories?

For all, we are now preparing an extended LCIA package for openLCA which will incude impact 2002+

I am wondering whether the LCIA of Impact 2002+ is completed?
If yes, from where can I download it to OpenLCA?
If not, when is it expected to be completed?

Thank you,
Basak
