Import modified Ecospold file

Hi,
I exported a process in Ecospold format.
My aim is then to create modified versions of this process outside of OpenLCA software (e.g. via Excel) and to import them after into OpenLCA.
I tried this but after the import, my modified process was not present in the database.
Could you tell me if this method is possible? If yes, could you tell me the best steps to follow?
