ELCD import, Mac

Hi,

I have some problems importing ELCD database into openLCA 1.2 (on Mac OS X)

I´ve already downloaded the whole ELCD database.
But if I want to select the xml-files (ILCD format), openLCA can not find the files.
Choosing the EcoSpold1 format, the files are displayed but can not be imported.

Only by converting the files into EcoSpold1 with the openLCA converter it is possible importing it into openLCA. But therefore I have to click on each of the hundreds of files..
Isn´t there an easier way?!

Thank you.

Yes there is an easier way - you need to import the ELCD database as zip archive, not as individual files.

Hi,

I tried both ELCD and NREL and OpenLCA version 1.2 and beta 1.3. OpenLCA don't seems to recognise xml or zip file.
I'm running a Linux OS [Xubuntu]
I can't see any reason.

I look forward to reading solutions.

Hi Mystica,

Sorry, I changed my OS for other reasons and since then, I can't run OpenLCA properly.
when I want to connect "could not execute sql statement communication link failure"
[OpenSuse 12.3 with OpenLCA 1.2].

If I get some results I'll put them in line.

Dear all,
strangely, the 'new' ELCDIII database (from end of September 2013) is again not complete, there are some literature references and flow properties missing in the version available from the JRC site. Since last week we have put this new ELCDIII database in the nexus site, for free, here: https://nexus.openlca.org/, corrected the formal inconsistencies, and I would recommend you use this version. This is then in a nexuspack format optimised for openLCA, therefore you should not have any zip archive issues.
Best wishes,
Andreas

- you should however be able to read ILCD zip packages exported from openLCA.
