Ecoinvent 3.1 - Different Files

Until now I was working with OpenLCA Version 1.3.4 and econinvent 2.2, but yesterday I tried to update my system. OpenLCA 1.4 looks really finde, but I habe problems importing the right econinvent file, because there are 6 zolca-files offered. Whats the difference between the _LCI and the other file? Does it make sense, to import all six files to a database, to work with it?
Furthermore importing the ecoinvent3_1_allocation_default_lci.zolca does not work for me - see enclosed log file.
I really hope, somebody can help me! Thank you!

Hello Kurt,
the LCI files are system (aggregated) processes, i.e. life cycle inventories, the other files are unit processes. Ecoinvent provides three different "system models" so far which should not be combined, they contain the same processes with different allocation and linking rules applied. For details see e.g. our openLCA training slides, here: http://www.openlca.org/documents/14826/ ... ember+2014, pages 240 onwards (or the ecoinvent website).
Combining LCI and unit processes in one database currently takes quite some time in openLCA, see also the post of Pascal here http://openlca.org/forum/viewtopic.php? ... cal#p28374, we have optimised this in the upcoming openLCA version and it is now really faster; this will be released with the upcoming non-beta 1.4.1 release which I expect in a week or so so it is maybe worthwhile to wait until this is released.
Hth,
Andreas
