Eocoinvent 2.1 to 2.2

Dear all,

I have a simple, maybe stupid, question:
During the last months I´ve been working with an old ecoinvent2.1 database . Due to some troubles with negative values in LCIA (see http://www.openlca.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=11&t=15723) I would like to upgrade to ecoinvent 2.2. Is that possible with keeping all my own processes and product systems? How can I do that?

Thanks a lot in advance!
Stefan

Hi Stefan,

negtive values are not related to ecoinvent but to imports done in older openLCA versions (1.2.9 or older).

For updating the ecoinvent database, export your models and process data sets as ILCD format, create a new database, import there ecoinvent and also your models and data sets. If you are working with an ecoinvent import done in version 1.2.9 of openLCA or later, the links will still work since during the import, reproducible IDs are created for EcoSpold 1 files (who do not have any UUID). If you are working with an older import, I am afraid you will need to redo the linking to ecoinvent data sets unfortunately.

Hth, best wishes,
Andreas

Hi Andreas!

Thanks a lot for your help! I have to reconnect all inputs from the database, which will take me some time, but at least the LCIA is working now.

Yours, Stefan
