Emission as Input?

Post by lbhsa » 02 Sep 2013 14:12

Hello all,
I am lacking a chemical substance for my productsystem that is only available as air emission and not as chemical in the database I'm using.
Can I simply put the emission as Input for my process (since disposal for example is sometimes modelled as input, too) in order to complete it? Or is this absolutely unacceptable? What do you think?
Thanks a lot

i also have the similar problem. why do we have emissions in the input section rather than more resources?

Thanks

@OFENTSE MOSEKI : well I think this is a different problem (unintuitve "side" of the flow, input instead of output), which happens in some databases due to waste modeling e.g. (and is even less intuitive when negative amounts are applied to preserve the mass balance)
@lbhsa: Yes of course that is possible, you can just create a new product flow then.
Best
