Hello,

using the ecoinvent v2.2 database i was comparing the CML indicators calculated by openLCA with the LCIA results of the ecoinvent website. Take the process "pig iron, at plant" for example. The LCIA results are very similar, but not exactly the same. I found a rather big discrepancy for the GWP 100a indicator:

openLCA yields 1.62570 kg CO2-Eq
ecoinvent website shows 1.5613 kg CO2-Eq

As long as the differences are less than 20% this fact does not bother me much. I would be happy to understand the reasons behind it though. Could you give me some insight?

I don't have access to ecoinvent, but is it possible that one of the two is using old GWP factors?

Thanks for the answer and good idea. I have checked the LCIA factors (for GWP 100a), but they are identical.
