Hey from Darmstadt,
I'm trying to get some practical basics on openlca through the tutorial. I have the ecoinvent (1.2.9 - updated) database from my university and imported it copying it into the folder \openlca-data\data\ .The database shows up and everything on the tutorial works fine until I'm trying to compare the two different viticulture types. Clicking on compare after adding both product systems it says "Error: Reading LCIA method from db failed!" and further information in the log file.
The important line in the log file should be:
Caused by: java.sql.SQLException: Incorrect information in file: '.\ecoinvent\tbl_lciafactors.frm'
How can I fix the information in the file? Can I convert it to an excel document and write in it?
cheers.
Niklas

Re: Error: Reading LCIA method from db failed!
Hi Niklas,
copying a database folder works usually but is a bit "crude" as things are then done outside of the openLCA application; when you are working with different operation systems then this may not work. I would recommend to export the whole database as .olca file and import this again.
Best wishes,
Andreas
