Contribution of individual flows to each impact

Post by schivlg » 25 Feb 2013 19:28

When running an impact assessment calculation for a product system, is there any way to determine the contribution of individual emission flows to the impacts caused by a product? In the example below I'd like to know what emissions from "diesel, combusted in industrial equipment" are contributing to ecotoxicity, and what the impact of each of those emissions are.

Also, is it possible to know what emission flows are not used in an impact assessment method? This is a feature that can be very useful when combining data or impact assessment methods from different sources. As an example, some impact methods list m-, o-, and p-xylenes as individual species while others have a single flow (xylenes). It is difficult to manually check for all of these cases.

Hi Greg,
that's a good point - this is currently not possible unfortunately. I will put it on a feature list.
Best wishes,
Andreas

Thanks Andreas. If I have feature ideas or requests is it best to post them on the sourceforge site?
