Re: BREEAM compliance

Hi, I guess your query relates to the approved "tools" that are shown in the MAT01calculator. Those aren't fully-flexible LCA software tools like openLCA, but constrained calculation tools that have databases of LCA data or LCA-derived indicators for different materials loaded into them. So normally...

Re: Cut-off feature in v1.4.2

Thanks Andreas, One further query: is the cut off instruction sensitive to the sign (positive/negative) or just to the absolute values of input flows? So, for example, if cut-off level 0.001 is specified, will all negative inputs (i.e. all wastes, in current ecoinvent convention) be cut off as well ...

Cut-off feature in v1.4.2

Hi, nice idea to include a cut-off feature in the new version. Just wondering: - if it's applied, will it cut off all inputs at the specified level throughout the product system when the software assembles that using the auto-complete option? - is it insensitive to the unit in which flows are specif...

Re: OpenLCA 1.4.1 beta 6 possible bug

Michael, Sarah,
I'll try to generate a small case study and send it over when I get a chance. Could be just me/ my pc / my antivirus software!
Best wishes,
Chris

Re: Infrastructure processes

Hi Andreas, I think it would be a useful addition. After all, we have various PCRs and so forth that stipulate whether infrastructure should or should not be included, so ways of distinguishing infrastructure processes, filtering them in a database and/or cutting them off from calculations are reall...

Infrastructure processes

Hi, In OpenLCA 1.4.1, the information field for each process includes a tick-box indicating whether it's an infrastructure process or not. Has anyone worked out how to use that as a filter in the product-system level calculation to generate LCIA results with and without infrastructure included and t...

OpenLCA 1.4.1 beta 6 possible bug

Hi, I'm working with v1.4.1 beta-6 in Windows 7 Pro. Software generally works fine. I've set up one input to a process using a parameter and dependent parameter to allow me to vary the proportion of this raw material coming from two alternatives sources (or swap from one to the other) but always kee...

Re: ecoinvent 2_2 optimisation in OpenLCA 1_4

Hi Andreas, Thanks, that's helpful. I think it's sometimes more than "interesting" to have the unit processes from ecoinvent. I have done some projects in which I've re-modelled basic material production from primary data or research, and wanted to "plug that in" to the downstream processes leading ...

ecoinvent 2_2 optimisation in OpenLCA 1_4

Hi. Ecoinvent 2_2 is supplied in 3 components: one for the multi-output processes, one for the unit processes, one with all the cumulative LCIs (system processes in OpenLCA terms, I think). If one combines the unit process and multi-output process databases in OpenLCA, one has the complete database ...
