Re: How to import openLCA-generated excel files
Hi Anne, there are no public explanations so far but it is relatively easy to try out; you can change amounts of exchanges in input / output easily, if you add flows, these need to be also in the "flows" sheet and also in the flow property factor sheet. You should not delete the other sheets as they...

Re: Impact Assessment Method Flow Variations
Hello Amy, welcome and: yes, I think this is unfortunately a common topic. The ecoinvent methods that we distribute are directly from ecoinvent; some time ago we have started to develop an own LCIA method pack, reflecting other databases and thereby also other elementary flows, in part, but also to ...

Re: Emission as Input?
@OFENTSE MOSEKI : well I think this is a different problem (unintuitve "side" of the flow, input instead of output), which happens in some databases due to waste modeling e.g. (and is even less intuitive when negative amounts are applied to preserve the mass balance) @lbhsa: Yes of course that is po...

Re: Ecoinvent v3.3 - import World Food LCA Database ?
Hi Basak,
as a quick reply, ecoinvent does not contain the entire WFDB but only (if I understand correctly) older datasets because of license restrictions of WFDB.
The openLCA Nexus ecoinvent database contains of course the entire ecoinvent database.
Hth,
Andreas

Re: How to import LCIA methods?
Hi and welcome, this is correct, you can import this database (as any other database) into another openLCA database, or vice versa, via file/import/import entire database. For some databases, like ecoinvent or Agri-footprint, we are providing the LCIA methods in the database therefore the import is ...

Re: "Cannot remove exchanges" message
Hello and welcome,
basically the procedure is already described in the posts above, the exchange must not be used in any product system. We will try to make the procedure a bit less complicated in version 1.7.

Re: Error opening openLCA on mac
Hi Jasmin,
sometimes the JDK isn't used on a Mac but the default Java installation which is still 1.6 I believe. You can test this by entering "java -version" on the command line. See also other posts about this issue for Mac on this forum.

Re: Exporting JSON, editing, and then reimporting
That approach works but you need to fully reflect the JSON-LD structure, e.g. the line breaks should be removed (but I am not certain if they are only added here in the code window).
