Re: No comment fields

Hi Andreas, Thanks for your answer. Perhaps the issue can be broken down: comments on exchange properties, comments on parameters, comments on production volumes, comments on actual instances of exchanges (inputs and outputs in a specific dataset). All of these could be very useful, and indeed the f...

No comment fields

Hi, This is not so much a question as it is a "feature" request: would it be able to see comments associated with inputs/outputs and parameters at the process level? Since ecoinvent v3, the documentation manuals have been replaced by extensive documentation within the dataset. Having provided many d...

Changin reference flow in a copied process

H all Sorry for inundating the forum... I was wondering if there was any way to change the reference flow to a copied process. I find it convenient sometimes to copy a given process as a template for modelling something else. However, although I am able to add new flows, I am unable to delete the or...

ecoinvent v3 - multiple instances of same flows

Dear Forum, I have a question about the implementation of ecoinvent v3 in OpenLCA. When selecting flows to add as inputs to a process (say "Tap water" in CA-QC to a water bottling process), I am presented multiple flows that are all seemingly identical: all have the same name, and all have the same ...

Meaning of cut-off when creating product systems

Hi Forum, I was wondering how exactly the cut-off criteria was interpreted in OpenLCA (when creating product systems). Since the opportunity to enter a cut-off criteria is given before LCIA methods are specified, it will probably be applied on some inventory item, but it is not clear (to me) which. ...

Re: Time required for importing .zolca databases

Thanks Andreas. Indeed, the procedure I tried did not yield any fruits: all the process categories from the “importing” database (ecoinvent3_1_cutoff) were copied into the “receiving” database (ecoinvent3_1_cutoff_lci), but no process data was copied. So I tried the procedure you outlined (Figures a...

Re: Time required for importing .zolca databases

Thanks Michael for your reply. Based on your answer, here is what I did: 0-Deleted all existing databases (I wanted to start with a "clean slate") 1-Created an “empty” database with reference data 2-Deactivated it 3-Right clicked and selected “import database” 4-Selected “ecoinvent3_1_cutoff.zolca”....

Time required for importing .zolca databases

Hi Forum, I have tried importing the ecoinvent database using the import openLCA database import function. This is what I did: -->created a new database -->clicked "import", selected "other/database import", selected "from exported .zolca file", and navigated to the appropriate .zolca file for the d...
