Re: LCIA Import from Ecoinvent
Hi Andrea, again, I think I understand. Our usual approach is to put all method xml files into one zip archive and import this (just as you are doing with the impact-methods.zip from ecoinvent). We'll check if methods are not overwritten when they are re-imported. If you rename the files, you should...

Re: LCIA Import from Ecoinvent
Dear Andrea, Also ecoinvent responded very fast to my email; we have now an updated impact-methods pack, and I put this on the website, here: http://www.openlca.org/uploads/media/impact-methods.zip . This is the same location as the old impact methods file, I just replaced the old package. This newe...

Re: LCIA Import from Ecoinvent
Dear Andrea,
Thanks a lot for this observation. The ReCiPe method has been updated since 2010 obviously, I have sent an email to ecoinvent about this and will let you know any news.
Best wishes,
Andreas

Re: Normalisation / single score
Hi Kenza, indeed this looks strange. openLCA applies normalisation and weighting only if normalisation and weighting sets are available; this is not the case for the default ecoinvent LCIA methods. They rather are provided with weighting and normalisation applied already. Therefore you have e.g. the...

Re: Parameter and its functions
Hi Simon, in openLCA, you specify parameters on the parameters page, e.g. for a process, and can use the so defined parameters then, for a process, on the input/output sheet. This means that you cannot cross-reference from input to output, e.g., for modeling non-linear relations. However, what you c...

Re: Importing Ecoinvent database in MySQL format, Mac OS X 1
Hi Michka, the somewhat brute method to simply copy the files is not really recommended; it works only when you are using the same operation system. If the database was created on Windows, you need to do the import again. (You need of course an ecoinvent licence, or your faculty, too). So, probably ...

Re: ELCD import, Mac
Yes there is an easier way - you need to import the ELCD database as zip archive, not as individual files.
