Re: waste incineration

Hi Jule, welcome. Well this seems like a classic "ecoinvent waste modeling" question which we think we can overcome with the new 1.7 version of openLCA, but for now: - you have a process where waste is created (p), which is transported, and incincerated (i) - p: waste on the input side, negative, al...

Re: NREL LCI & OpenLCA v1.6.3 - IA results not reported

(just a small comment: if supply chains do not contribute, it could also be due to missing elementary flows in the processes; as you all see, it is probably fair to say that the NREL data "has multiple issues" and it is on our list to fix these..)

Re: PROBLEM with the 1.4 version on Mac

Hi, This post does not apply to the newest Macbooks indeed, this post refers to version 1.4 and is from 2015. With newer Macs, the issue is that openLCA uses Java 1.8 and newer Macs only foresee Java 1.9 or Java 1.6 and basically do not allow to use other versions. We are working on this but it will...

Re: ILCD LCIA Method-ReCiPe categories v1.05(2008) or v.1.11(2016)?

Dear Jorge, thank you - well indeed, ReCiPe 2016 addresses more exhanges - we are currently working on including it in the method pack, and hope to have this done in February. So, Can it be interesting update all ReCiPe categories in the ILCD method to v1.11 - I would say yes, but it is a bit of eff...

Re: Limit of process

Hi, there is not hard limitation, the only limitation that exists is by your computer memory and the amount you allow for openLCA. Also, in older versions (pre 1.6), the calculation was slower. For 45 processes, it should not take long really. I assume you clicked on start when the MC simulation win...

Re: import entire Ecoinvent database

Hi, well ecoinvent is a different company; of course it is only necessary to apply for a license on Nexus if you want to use the openLCA version of ecoinvent. If you directly register at openLCA Nexus, you also receive the ecoinvent login and license. And the information we request is indeed quite s...

Re: regionalized impact assesment methods - any official (or psuedo-official) sets available?

Hi Andrew,
indeed I can confirm this. For the regionalised factors, we will soon make AWARE available, and plan to extend this to other methods. I hope (AWARE) still in January.
Best wishes,
Andreas

Re: Importing database trouble

Hi Maxime, welcome - if you want to just use the database, it is much faster to just select "restore database" than to import the entire database. Emporting the entire database works too but requires the same version of openLCA, and you must keep the zolca file intact and not unzip or otherwise modi...

Re: No results output when disabling one process of many

Hello Sarah,
welcome! As first step, could you maybe explain what you mean by "disabling" a process? E.g. with a screenshot?
Thank you,
Andreas
