Re: negative results
Hi Arun, welcome - this can happen but it is unusual, it means that the product you are assessing is overall good for the environment (reduces emissions, produces resources). You will have negative results from - system expansion modeling - recycling and waste treatment modeling possibly - omission ...

Re: EUGEOS 2.1 import in openlca 1.6 fails before completion
Hi Thomas,
thank you for the feedback, the calculated system process database for EuGeos was indeed incorrect, we have fixed this now and are uploading it to Nexus as new (Nexus-internal) version, which you can then download. If you run into any further issues, please let us know.
Thank you!
Andreas

Re: Import Ecoinvent 3.3 (ecospold2) database
Hello Kong,
welcome! Quick and short answer: you need to use the database from openLCA nexus for openLCA, the one from ecoinvent does not work with openLCA.
Thank you,
Andreas

Re: Import and export processes using JSON format
Hi, you can use the zolca export (and I would recommend to switch to newer openLCA versions).

Andreas

Re: Conflicts with Windows Applocker
Hi Matt, interesting question. The file you mention is a common Standard Widget Toolkit library from Eclipse, and while dlls are always potentially suspicious (from any program), it should really be safe. You can check the md5 value e.g. - see here http://www.backgroundtask.eu/Systeemtaken/taakinfo/...

Re: Resolving lacking data in ecoinvent
Dear Yana, good question but I am afraid with not an easy answer - I assume that for the EPD you are boun to ecoinvent as background database, thus a combination of several databases is somehow not possible? You can try to model with more generic chemicals, and you can add a "safety margin" to these...

Re: Default cut-off option
Thank you Niclas - could be indeed interesting to add; we took 0 as default value because it is the best to complete the entire system, and for the product based databases also typically fully ok.
Best wishes,
Andreas

Re: Cost year in openLCA?
Thank you Niclas, I think these are good suggestions. We do currently not convert the currencies across years beyond what you see in the tab for each currency, for reasons of simplicity, also because we thought there is not too much interest in a broader currency conversion. But of course the names ...
