..you are right. We are currently a bit busy with implementing the earthster client but will have more time in the next two weeks and try to finalise the release then, including versions for Linux and Mac.

Re: Could not open the editor: An unexpected exception was t
Hi Luis, This is a bug in the current test version - if a process is deleted or not imported that is referred to in another process, and if that other process is used in a product system, the product system builder just assumes that the links from this process exist, and when the product system grap...

Re: Installation Difficulties
Ah - it seems we solved it. The problem seemed to be that I unzipped openLCA into my C:\Program Files\ directory To unzip and execute anything directly in the program folder in WIn 7 or Vista 64 bit you will indeed need admin rights so you should unzip the archive somewhere else. And we should indee...

Re: Installation Difficulties
Anthony, I am not sure whether I understand your problem. If you download and unzip the bin archive, you get this openlca_directories.jpg structure - the workspace is created during the first start. The MySQL database is integrated. OpenLCA is started by starting openlca.exe. If you have further que...

Re: Installation Difficulties
Hi Anthony, Eclipse is the development environment (ie the system we use for the programming openLCA). You need it for inspecting and working with the source code, and only for the source code. The recent "Eclipse IDE for Java and Report Developers" will work. Download and unzip the source code, and...

Re: Allocation Methods
Hi Michela, - the sankey diagram will be new in the new Release Candidate (will be out next week); - the allocation methods are explained in the help and in the online documentation (here: http://openlca.org/documentation/index.php/Advanced_functions#Handling_multi-product_processes ) Usually you se...

Re: Linux version
Hi marco,
currently there is only a windows version for the test. A Linux version will follow - please understand that we limit the test versions at present. If all goes well, the release will happen in August (this year..).
Cheers, Andreas

Re: Characterization: Result per flow and LCIA category?
Hi Michela, I edited your title slightly to make it a bit clearer - if I understand correctly, you ask whether you can see results by LCIA category *and* by flow, here: LCIA_and_flow.gif So, if it is possible to view results here per flow instead of per process. That is not possible at present, sorr...

Re: "Analyze" Crashes (with LCIA sample data, in July 1 RC)
Hi, thanks, that is a bug in the Release Candidate from July 1. It applies specifically to "lightweight" LCIA methods in EcoSpold; they could not be properly imported. It will be fixed in the new release (to be released next week or so). Andreas - you are using a database migrated from version 1 I a...
