Re: small differences in LCIA with openLCA vs. ecoinvent web

Thanks for the answer and good idea. I have checked the LCIA factors (for GWP 100a), but they are identical.

small differences in LCIA with openLCA vs. ecoinvent website

Hello, using the ecoinvent v2.2 database i was comparing the CML indicators calculated by openLCA with the LCIA results of the ecoinvent website. Take the process "pig iron, at plant" for example. The LCIA results are very similar, but not exactly the same. I found a rather big discrepancy for the G...

Re: negative CML impact factors correct?

//update

It was indeed an error related with the interface between ecoinvent v2.1 database and openLCA. Ecoinvent v2.2 yields positive CML impact factors for all categories

suggestions for improvement - sankey diagram

Hi, working with the sankey diagrams, two small things for improvement came in my mind: (1) Could you include a "move key" such as the space bar in gimp, so that you can easily navigate around? Currently it is only possible to navigate vertically with Shift + Mousewheel (2) In the screenshot below, ...

[Solved] negative CML impact factors correct?

Hi everybody, I was calculating some CML indicators for the ecoinvent v2.1 process "pig iron, at plant". However, some of the indicators were negative (human toxicity, freswhater and marine sediment toxicity). Please find below a screenshot of the sankey diagram. To me, these results look rather sus...

Re: bug? LCI of reference flow (target amount)

Hi Andreas,

thanks for the quick reply, your response time is really encouraging the use of openLCA.

Concerning the bug tracker: So you would prefer to post thing like that rather at the sourcefourge site?

[Solved] bug? LCI of reference flow (target amount)

Hello,

- new database, newly imported ELCD.zip
- product system with just gasoline(regular) as process

When I change the target amount in the product system, all LCI results are calculated correctly EXCEPT the reference product flow. See pictures attached. A bug, I believe?

Re: Importing LCIA Methods

Dear Andreas, with the new openLCA v1.2.9 I did the following: - create a new database - import ELCD.zip in ILCD format - import LCIA methods from openLCA website in ecospold format However, the issue now is that I have to assign units, see the attached picture. I haven't stumbled upon this problem ...

tutorial

Dear openLCA community, our institute began to use openLCA, therefore I wrote a tutorial for the current openLCA version 1.2.9 intended primarily for internal use. In this tutorial the life cycle of an aluminum can will be modeled. By following the steps you should get a very good understanding of t...
