Re: Seems MySQL did not install

Hi Scott,
for clarification, you start MySQL manually from the /openLCA/bin directory, or from another location? What do you mean with
I pasted in the works from a good install
- what did you copy?

Re: product flows and emissions category

Hi Carla,

Interesting question - in what format do you export files from SimaPro? EcoSpold? With which settings?

Re: Seems MySQL did not install

Hi Scott, This may have several reasons, first one is that MySQL is downloaded during the installation process, therefore you need internet access during the installation. Second possibility are user rights issues in Win 7, especially company versions. After successful install, you should have a bin...

Re: New Wizards

Hi Jáchym,
well, strange - how did you uninstall? Did you re-install without internet connection? An internet connection is needed since the MySQL server is downloaded during the installation. It seems your MySQL server is not able to start.

Andreas

Re: New Wizards

Hi judly, the new wizard option was used in the old 1.1 version, now you just have to right-click with your mouse on a process (flow, ...) category to create a new process (flow, ...). We have a manual meanwhile online, in the wiki documentation, here: http://openlca.org/documentation/index.php/Main...

Re: Can OpenLCA be used for building?

Well why shouldn't openLCA be applicable for modeling *the life cycle assessment* of buildings? As always in modeling buildings, time is a challenge, and potential changes in the function and therefore functional unit of the building, but otherwise I do not see problems.

Re: Cannot create a Database

Hi Luis, a reason might be that the MySQL server cannot start or is blocked - you can try to connect to the server over a different port (not 3306 but e.g. 3305). This may happen due to a firewall setting or if you have another MySQL server running. The user interface is currently showing a connecti...

Re: EcoSpold import (ecoinvent 2.2 data)

Version 1.2.1 has a grey startup screen, and that is indeed the version we uploaded this weekend. Sorry, again a question: did you import the files as a zip archive or as single xml files? Did you select one or several files? I paste below the screen "how it should look like", created with the new v...

Re: EcoSpold import (ecoinvent 2.2 data)

Hi Matilda, could you provide a little more information about your IT environment - which operating system, which version (1.2.1 released last weekend?), and which ecoinvent data? You should see a screen like this (obtained with the new version 1.2.1, on Win XP, when importing Process_withinfra_raw....
