Re: EPD Indicators: Resource use and waste categories
Dear Raoul, welcome - this method is specifically for ecoinvent and the EuGeos ecoinvent adaptation to EN15804. You are right, it would make sense to also provide a method for GaBi - and it should also not be too difficult. Is it urgent for you or could be address this when we prepare the GaBi datab...

Re: Eigen or Lapack matrix inverse
Hello and welcome,
I am not sure I understand, why do you want to conduct the computation in parallel?
Best wishes,
Andreas

Re: Database
Hi Silvia,
this is not an easy answer, for a peer-reviewed study, I would recommend a database where some quality assurance is applied. For specific products, you can search the Nexus site, https://nexus.openlca.org/. See also our direct discussion.
Thank you!

yes (assuming that in the modeling of the aluminium supply chain bauxit mining was considered).

Re: negative results
Hm, it is indeed maybe difficult to discuss this over the forum negative impacts are obviously rooted in the use of by-products in some processes If a byproduct is used in another process without allocation, and the byproduct-process has some negative impacts, then this can overrule other results. L...

Re: January 2016 Characterization factor
Hi Simona, we are working on a larger update of the LCIA methods; it should be out soon but not this year. In meantime, you can *maybe* create an updated version yourself for the EPD (since some EPD systems even publish the factors to be applied, and focus on some few categories), or also contact us...

Re: negative results
Hi Sandra, yes indeed openLCA uses a matrix-calculation approach which is able to handle loops, so this should not be the reason. Negative impacts are caused by avoided emission modeling (in system expansion), which can also implicitly contained in aggregated processes. If you have "messy" system pr...

Hi all,
sorry this doesn't work because of a typo in the older post: it should be -olcaDataDir.

Re: Process Missing/Not contributing as it should at Project Level
Not sure I understand, the process has no elementary flows and as such therefore has no direct impacts, only the upstream products will probably have impacts via their elementary flows?
Best wishes
