I'm a little bit old-fashioned maybe, but I normally proceed as fro suggests. That way I can check that each process is correct, complete, and connected to the appropriate providers before I move on.

Re: Not sure if ELCD database is correct
Hi Ravim,
Andreas is correct and this is a great feature of openLCA. But if you follow that path, take time to make sure that the LCIA methods you apply capture flow names and classificaitons from all the databses you use to build the LCI.
Good luck

Flow"used in" query
WhenI do a "used in processes" query for a flow that's used in a lot of processes, the first level query look like this: used in.PNG My question is about the "140more" that appears at the bottom of this image. If I click on that link in openLCA, I get to a new list, but it doesn't contain 140 proces...

LCIA method correction - ecological scarcity
Hi, I just noticed that the implementation of Ecological Scarcity 2013 in the openLCA methods database (v1_5_6, downloaded c. June 2017) contains CF for Cd, Zn, Cu and Ni to industrial soil. This is also true n the implementationof this LCIA methood in ecoinvent 3.3, but there's a note on the ecoinv...

Re: Database of solid waste treatment
Hi, I'm not sure about LCA databases for that, but you could try using one of the various tools that exist for estimating the outputs of AD plant based on feedstock characteristics and operating parameters. For example: http://www.bioenergy.soton.ac.uk/AD_software_tool.htm
Good luck!

Re: Fixing the inconsistencies between US LCI and OpenLCA impact methods
Hi, I sometimes use US-LCI datasets in modelling; it's particularly useful for certain raw materials if they come froma US source as well as for US transport. I agree that it would be nice to have the US-LCI database easily available for openLCA. I wanted to add here that my preference is generally ...

Re: EuGeos database: missing EN15804 parameter(s) on secondary fuels?
Hi again Thomas, As indicated previously, when we set this up we were a bit "lazy". Because there are only the 2 flows in ecoinvent that are secondary fuels (1 is wood, the other blast furnace gas), we didn't separate them as renewable and non-renewable. We just use the process contribution analysis...

Re: LCI without outputs
Hi, For agricultural processes, the outputs to the environment are often based on a model (or ideal) of the uptake by plants of inputs, with residuals assumed to be released. So in the example of viticulture you give, it's quite likely (I don't know for sure in Agribalyse) that the phosphate output i...

Re: EuGeos database: missing EN15804 parameter(s) on secondary fuels?
Hi Thomas, Sorry for a short delay in replying to your query - I was on holiday last week. When we originally set up this database we prepared separate CF for renewable and non-renewable secondary fuel, as you noticed. But in ecoinvent with cut-off allocation applied, there are just two flows that a...

Re: Plastic europe datasets
Hi, Just to point out that this isn't explicitly due to the IA methods in the EuGeos database. I've found that when I import Plastics Europe datasets in ILCD format into unaltered ecoinvent v3.2 the process isn't added to the list of possible providers. I've assumed that's because it is added in a n...
