Re: memory space shortage

Hi, so you specified to use more memory? If this does not work then it is most likely because you do not have write access to the location where the openLCA ini is located (where the permitted memory is stored). To solve this, you can use the zip archive version of openLCA, extract it in your user d...

Re: GaBi Professional Database odd supplier for process

Hi, good question, without checking the specific datasets here, in GaBi often avoided products and also multiple products occur since the datasets are aggregated life cycle models. Therefore, for GaBi, the "only link default providers" option should be selected when creating the product system, to p...

Re: Uncertainty distribution

Hi Masabara, well this depends on the database, the uncertainty is not provided for all datasets and even within databases provided by one provider, not all "packages" might contain an uncertainty distribution. Ecoinvent unit process packages have an uncertainty distribution though, obtained via the...

Re: Chlorine characterization factor in ReCiPe & UseTox

Hi and welcome, it is not uncommon that different methods have different factors for the same flow, in a seemingly similar impact category. For chlorine, you have it indeed in ReCipe midpoint but not in ILCD, e.g. in the category freshwater ecotoxicity. We are about to release a new LCIA package btw...

Re: process

Hi Norbert,
a system process is simply an aggregated life cycle result saved as a process; some databases mostly contain one sort of these processes, unit or system processes, but strictly speaking it does not depend on the database.

Re: Split view with Navigator and Editor disappeared

Hm, we did not change this in openLCA 1.7 compared to previous versions. To restore the navigation, just go to Window/Show views/Other, and then again into the folder other, and there is the navigation view. OpenLCA tries to save the last state with which windows, "views" were open, and restore this...

Re: Exporting results to Excel

Hi everyone, thank you for the feedback. Reason to remove the detailed export is that for large systems that we more and more have, excel, especially excel 32bit, which is commonly installed, is not able to carry all the information. An option would of course be to switch to a csv-like export, or to...

Re: Cannot run openLCA 1.7 (ed: admin rights)

Dear Cuong,
you can download the archive (zip file) version of openLCA for exactly these cases, save it into your user area on the computer, extract it, and run openLCA.exe.
Best wishes,
Andreas

Re: Impact evaluation failed (ed: SimaPro import)

Hello Oscar, this import via csv is often difficult since SimaPro does not have unique id numbers, so that it needs some refactoring before a complete and consistent model is created. From what you sent it is hard to see where the issue is, but something essential is missing (thus the Nullpointer ex...

Re: Formula evaluation failed

Hi Maria, welcome - as the log file says, a formula (or maybe more than one) is not following openLCA's specification and therefore the calculation does not work. ParentValue* machine_diesel_ratio failed: Unknown variable parentvalue You should fix these formula issues and then recalculate. You can ...
